Hi there! I’m Inga Líf Ingimarsdóttir, an aspiring costume designer from Iceland, just graduated from my course in Design for Costume and Performance in AUB. I’ve always had a passion for clothing and design since I was a young girl just starting to draw.

As I started my college years in design and textile, I discovered I could combine my passion of designing and making with my passion for Film&TV by focusing on the role of costume designer/maker.

I love how storytelling is accomplished through visual design and I’m especially interested in how costume and set design can reveal ideas, journeys, personalities and characters in film and theatre.

I like to combine creative design with research, paying close attention to details like colour, silhouette, and styling to shape characters and their world. I’m often drawn to contrasts, mixing futuristic and vintage elements, or exploring the tension between individuality and uniformity.

My goal is to create work that not only looks strong visually but also has meaning behind it, encouraging people to think more deeply about what they’re seeing.
